Horrible Vacation! Horrible Ship! Horrible Cruise line!

In response to review, Ladyelegance says ...

Yesssss!! I felt the same. I settled for the Majesty of the Seas due to the Empress of the Seas being cancelled. I could not cancel or change my flight w/o being hit with a hefty charge, so i went ahead on the Majesty. The ship is very outdated and needs to be renovated. The food was not good as expected outside of the formal dinning. Pizza for the late night  munchies was soggy and  not fully cooked. The only good experience that was to pare was most of the staff. The bar and dinner staff was excellent. I  really enjoyed spending the day at Cococay. The food was good as well.

Being that this was my first cruise i was disappointed and i think this has ruined me from ever cruising again on any cruise line.

For both of you, please do not stop cruising based on this one trip. The experience you had is not the norm for most cruise lines. Try other lines and see  if it is any better.

Thank you for posting your review. It is unfortunate that your first time out had to be such a negative experience. I agree w/johngold though. ‚ Don't give up on cruising altogether. It takes a few different experiences to figure out which cruise line matches up with your priorities. ‚

It is unfortunate that you had to settle for something far less than your expectations. As CruisingCM stated, try another line, or at least another ship within RCI fleet.

I have been cruising for years with Royal. All of my cruises have been with Royal except for when I took my kids on the Disney Wonder. I was on the Majesty of the Seas at the beginning of Feb 2016.. I had never been on that ship before. I too was not happy with the ship.  However, you cant let it stop you from cruising. There are so many options out there.
