Disappointed with bookit.com. Cruise was great!!

Once again, I read a review where the negative remarks ALL point at external issues (in this case, bookit.com) yet it is the cruise that gets the poor stars! Your negativity should be pointed at BOOKIT.COM and not the cruise itself especially when you post nothing but a positive experience of the cruise itself. It is NOT the cruiselines fault your booking agent gave you the wrong information! "My family and I enjoyed the cruise, service was great" should have awarded the cruise 5 stars.

Cgumbs, thank you for posting your review. Unfortunately, you did not separate the cruise ship experience from the issue with where you booked your cruise.  I agree with CrusinTim on this because unless I book directly with the cruise company itself, I don't feel it is fair to ding the cruise line for a failure relating to the booking.

Sorry you had issues with Bookit.com, but not fair to give the cruise a lower rating because of bad information given by a 3rd party.

I would suggest you go to YELP and give a bad review to Bookit.com and ask the administrator here to increase this review to a rating based just on RCI.

These are two different companies and not fair to downgrade one because of the other.

I am glad you enjoyed your cruise. But I have to agree with the statements above.

Thanks for posting your first review here.  I was happy to read that your cruise was wonderful.  Too bad it was spoiled by your Internet booking site.  May I humbly suggest that you do some elementary research by visiting the cruise line Website. You would have read about the gratuity charge there.  None of us want to get unpleasant surprises on vacation.  I agree, you should not have rate the cruise itself so low just because of the booking site's error.  I hope that your next cruise is as great as this one was for you and that there will be no more unpleasant surprises for you.  Another thought, get everything in writing if you can.
