Many of the luxury cruise lines are reducing their numbers of cruises to Europe.  Instead they are concentrating more of Alaska, South America & Expedition Regions.  Here is a link to the report.

Ahhh now I see why Alaska is so much busier this season.  Some of the cruise lines have diverted ships from The Med to Alaska.

So it seems!

With all the issues in Europe cruise lines are moving ships to safer areas,   I think Hal moved some of it's ships that were not booking well in Europe to Alaska.   I hope this will bring down the price for Alaska cruises.

It is sad as the Med is one of the most beautiful places to visit and see  Sad.

I would love to cruise the Med or Europe someday.

Same here.  I visited Turkey years ago on a land trip and loved it.  Shame there having so much trouble there.  I want to visit all over Europe, cruises and land trips.

Out of all the cruises I have taken the Greek Islands is still my standout favorite for the beautiful views and buildings, great local food, beer and wine and friendly people.  I'm glad I got to do it and another European cruise before issues started up in that area.

And now we hear of protesters in Venice opposing large cruise ships coming into port there.  Ninety-nine % of people in Venice who voted in a referendum agreed.

Save

And you should!  This doesn't mean that the area  is unsafe.  I will be in Europe next month and i am not the least bit worried.  .
