Luggage Tags - When Do you Put Them On?

I usually attach the cruise tag in the plastic carrier to my luggage before leaving the house. However, the airlines managed to rip the plastic part off (left the little metal wire hanging) on my last flight. I always carry duplicate copies of my boarding pass and luggage tags, so was able to re-attach another one.

If you are flying to the port, do you wait till you get there to attach the tag?

I put them on the morning of the cruise. If we are flying that morning, I put them on after the flight.

So I had to go and review.... I can't believe that person actually considered your helpful post on the luggage tags as "advertising". Surprised Yikes! LOL Well I love the plastic tags and need to order some more for the family. They will go on the luggage the night before we depart for the cruise ship. Happy

Where can I get the plastic holders that everyone is referring to?

When driving to the port as we are this time we attach them at the hotel . We did get the plastic covers for them this time .They are not expensive and worth not having the worry of losing the tag and not getting our luggage delivered.

I got mine on Amazon .Just specify the cruise line to recieve the correct size covers. Very inexpensive .Enjoy your cruise!

Couldn't figure why a two year old thread was still active...until I read it. GREAT STUFF!..ordered some tags right on the spot!!! I think it was KENNICOTT who found the product. Im sure a lot of folks knew about those tags, but I didn't! Always concerned about them ripping off, or getting soaked and soggy.

As quickly as possible 😉 makes us feel closer to our vacation.

Before you get to the port. I don't put them on until after a flight as airlines are rough on them. We bought some plastic holders on line that give them a little protection and keep them visible.

We always stay in a hotel the night before, so when we get to the hotel, before I relax I start attaching Cruiseline tags, and removing airline tags
