I was emailing with friends yesterday, and talking about some of the great gifts we have received for being a member of Cruiseline.com. My favourite is the sleeve that sticks to the back of my cell phone which holds my S&S card while on the ship.

Cruiseline.com had some nice gifts - I wear the t-shirt, use the tote bag and my son loves the leather passport holder. Princess has given me a couple free cruises so that is awesome too!

Our favorite gift from Carnival has been one of the first tote bags. It is sturdy and we use it every cruise or least favorite the "croc visor", we gave those to friends with children. Because they are gifts, we accept them gladly and just give them to others if they are something we cannot use. sometimes you don't need 4 of "whatever" when you cruise twice during the same promotional period (B2B). I might ask if they have something left from the last one that I can trade for, but do not insist upon it. We have six tumblers that we only use two, but I just can't seem to give them away.Wink There are a few gifts we have missed, that I wish we had cruised during that promotional period, like the packing cubes. Still, I don't cruise for the gifts... the cruise is a gift to me.

Least favorite item - the loyalty level pins. Never won one of mine and cannot say I have seen them worn by anyone else (potentially were - I just did not notice).

I love my Cruiseline tshirt.

We are Gold status with Carnival, so we get ship pin and free drink coupon plus a gigantic bottle of water. Of those perks, I guess I would pick the drink coupon Big Smile Can't wait to get some of those Platinum gifts--I have seen a couple that I would love to have (not the Croc visor. I saw one of those up close, and it was everything I thought it would be LOL)

I wonder who came up with the idea of the croc visor? The tote bag I saw a pic of looked great, and I would definitely use the Tervis tumblers, but I doubt we will ever reach Platinum level on Carnival to get any of these perks. I'm happy with the bottle of water..... The gold level pin is stored in a drawer...

My mail just arrived... what a great surprise I have my captains gift; nice sturdy tote bag and passport holder with matching luggage tag. Thank you Simon!Love

Our favorite gifts from HAL were sturdy wheeled carry on bag. Our least favorite was a cheap travel document holder that we threw out. Even our steward didn't want them.

My favorite is free cocktail party every night on Celebrity or RCI. I use those every night of the cruise Big Smile. I also like the extra heavy weight robe from RCI.

On the long Grand Voyage type cruises the cruise lines give out lots of gifts. Sometimes a cook book or something is pretty good, but for the most part the stuff is a real pain to get home. Now, my wife is even less interested in the loyalty gifts that I am. So, I was really surprised when she mentioned, sometime back, receiving something from that "group you talk to all the time" that she really liked. I'm the only blabbermouth in the family, she hardly ever posts on line let alone use F.B., Trip Advisor or a forum like this one. When we receive "Cruiseline" gifts I usually just give them to her without opening. That wasn't the only time she mentioned liking something "Cruiseline" sent us either. So the other day, the high quality tote bag and passport holder came. That really impressed her, she uses the bag for shopping trips here in town now. You have a fan.
