Loyal to Royal or not

Are you Loyal to Royal or do you also cruise other cruise lines? If you travel other cruise line what cruise line do you prefer?

We are loyal to about three lines. Holland, Princess and NCL. We have been fortunate enough to reach the higher loyalty level on all three lines. We recently went back out on Carnival and really enjoyed ourselves.

Taking first cruise on Royal in 9 days (single digit dance day today) so no loyalty here ... yet. We shall see. We are gold on NCL though.

Currently booked on Princess.

Have sailed Celebrity and Carnival.

Never been on Anything of the Seas - nor am I loyal to any brand.

Nothing but carnival yet. Cost is our main determiner.

OGW, we've been on 3 others, and keep coming back to NCL (platinum) food, entertainment, ambiance, its like being in a casino...if you didn't know where you were, you probably couldn't tell you were on a different line...we did it because we were tired of folks blithely telling us their anecdotal experiences and how/why they prefer one line over another, or why they would NEVER cruise on such and so line again...and then learning they had exactly one cruise b4, or this was their first, on and on..so we spent the bux and cruised others to make our own determination..we figured we have a rational basis for comparison...stuff happens...its part of life...

We prefer NCL, not just because of the perks...you can earn them just about anywhere...but because of how and when we eat, (which is a huge part of cruising, but you knew that!) we've got their system nailed, bow to stern, ... and because we understand how their various "packages" work, we just keep coming back to them.

Have our 9th cruise with HAL booked for December.  We've been on Royal twice and we are loyal to HAL.

I've been on 8 cruises. 4 with RCL. 3 Carnival, 1 Princess. I like RCL best, especially when the family is with me. There's just more to do for everyone!

Going forward, I plan to primarily sail on RCL but make exceptions for specific itineraries. For example, NCL has the only boat in Hawaii that doesn't require several days' sail to another country. Therefore, I would try NCL for that itinerary.

I hope this helps!

After 30+ cruises on eight different lines, Celebrity is our first choice, but we are not really loyal to them.  We will sail with any line if the itinerary and price are right, with the exception of NCL, Carnival and Thomson (Tui)  One cruise on each of those lines showed us that they were not for us.

Yep .. we too love the feel and everything about NCL but jumped ship (yep pun always intended) because we have been wanting this itinerary and RCL offered it at a much lower price. And the parking in Bayonne is half the price of the parking in Manhattan. So it was worth a try. We shall see. Like .. it is a cruise man ... how bad can it be.

From what I have heard the NCL ship in Hawaii (Pride of America) may as well be a different cruise line from the rest of NCL. Because it is a domestic vessel it has domestic staff and domestic attitude. I would still love to try it but would not judge NCL based on that ship.
