Less options to Bermuda

I got this info from another site. There will be fewer ships sailing to Bermuda in 2012. As of this writing, no firm reasons were given, just some speculations. If anyone hears anything, or wants to comment, please post here.

CCL is only making one call to Bermuda, April 2012 (Carnival Pride). They informed Bermuda of this on October 27,2011. CCL had requested berths for 12 cruises to Bermuda for 2012 but backed out with little explanation.

Did you ever find out the firm reason why there would be fewer ships sailing to Bermuda in 2012. Or are we still struggling with the speculations here some 6 years later. Please! All these years and we need answers!!!!!

I think the main reason may have been the fact that the Bermuda Triangle disappearances were expected to intensify during this period.

3 or 4 years ago they started increasing the cruises to Bermuda and now there are a number going there. I think the biggest turn around was that NCL signed a deal with the Bermuda gov to do two 1 week cruises every weel to Bermuda having 2 overnights in Bermuda for each cruise. The two reached an amicable agreement and it started the increase in traffic again. And it is one of the more friendly and less scary islands to visit.
