Keeping Healthy

Just wondering if anyone (other than my worysome self) starts especially taking closer care health wise as the cruise gets closer.

Lots of coworkers are getting sick, and sniffling and hacking up a lung... Me i'm taking my emergenC 3 times a day making sure I do not get sick, because if I do, someone's head will be on a pike!

I get my flu shot in October, sooner if I am on a cruise that month.  I make a special effort to stay away from anyone who is coughing, sneezing and blowing his/her nose in the weeks before a cruise.  I take vitamins daily anyway.  Did also get my pneumonia shots and shingles vaccine.  Of course, once on the ship, you can't escape those who are sick who come to the shows or movies and cough throughout the event.  My husband & I have on occasion moved to a different seat because a person sitting behind us had a hacking cough and looked flushed. If I have a bad cold & am coughing, I stay home or away from people.  So far, I have not been sick on a cruise.

I do my best not to get sick but last week I got Strep Throat and immediately went to the doc and am well on the mend now.  I actually stress over being sick while on a cruise.  It certainly would take the fun out of it

I don't get the flu shots Sad I usually don't get that sick and isn't it supposed to make you sick at first? or is that just others reactions.

I never give it much of a thought. On our last cruise I came down with a cold after a week and a half. The last 3 days on the ship and the couple of days in NOLA my nose ran like a tap. Meh .. carry lots of tissue and drink lots of liquids and enjoy the trip.
