Ahhhhh, can't get enough of those.

The description of the first one, a personal favourite, claims he missed the ship by seconds. Seconds ? Yeah, at least 600 of them.

I also love the phone toss. I can almost hear the plunk, as the phone hits the water.

I like what our CD said on our last cruise:

"Be sure you are back on board by 4:30. If you want a beautiful picture of the back of the ship, show up at 4:35."

Very true!

lol...good one

I cannot imagine the feeling of watching your ship sail away without you. I know that the ports where this happened are not to bad, but what do you do?

This is one of the reasons we book tours with the cruise line in in some ports. If you are at a place like Victoria or Astoria there is not much of a chance that you will miss the boat, unless your are not very smart about your time. But a place like Cartegena Columbia ??? man that would scare me.

A couple missed the ship we were on, but somehow they got the pilot boat to bring them to the ship. This was years ago. I doubt they still do that.

thanks can never get enough pier runners!

Thanks for the video!Big Smile

Love watching the runners. Would hate to be one. It is for this reason that if we go on an excursion we always book it through the cruise line. For those the ship will wait. We will wander around the port area on our own but if there is a tight timeline the little extra for the cruise line excursion is worth it. Just consider it another form of travel insurance.

Well, we keep hearing that common sense is not to common anymore, but in a strange port, and a long way away from the ship.... man that would be scary.....
