Take a look at this..UK I think...I'll restrain myself.............

Guess we won't be cruising anytime soon. I don't intend to bother my doctor for a note.

Well that was for Europe, IF the article was accurate, and they haven't officially adopted it yet...but I can see it coming...its a great way to shift the liability from the cruise lines to the md's isn't it?....what responsible md is going to issue a hall pass to a senior with those "underlying conditions"???? thats a whole different issue than what the cruise ships will "look like" in this brave new world...spend 2-3-5-10K on a cruise to be harassed and put up with this stuff..............??????

Does anyone else think that with everything going on that they're putting in new HEPPA filtration systems on the ship, and that may be part of the reason why there's such a big holdup?

Never thought of that one ...

Interesting thought, but no. Not even a little bit. They have no place to cruise TO, and there's a "small" holdup at the CDC, and a lil something called "liability", and on and on and on...These co's have taken on TENS OF BILLIONS of new debt. If all it took to get them to sail was installing s/a filters, they'd all be out there...The ONLY thing that's going to save this industry is some kind of world-wide vaccination program...and THATS pie-in-the-sky....

That would be a nice thought, but I think (opinion only) it is lack of communication from (?with?) the CDC.

The problem is that no one knows ... and everyone else is too terrified to step up to the plate ... this is a game that no one wants to play and loose.

Including, up to and especially US!!!!! Forget the "inconveniences" they're tossing around...ANYONE who steps onboard a cruise ship in the foreseeable future (whenever that is) and manages to really ignore the potential risks...well...I've got a whole assortment of bridges available......

CDC pushes back to end of Sept - Boo
