Is it just me?

I've been on 13 cruises, and every time I book a cruise, you would think I hve never been on one before. I'm all over the internet - the cruiselines' Web sites, roll calls, you name it. When I embark, I have a "wow" moment like I've never been on a ship. Am I the only one like that?

I also do research on a ship before I book a cruise and after the booking I look into each port.    For me stepping onto a cruise ship is like X-mass for a kid.  It can be more fun for a ship I have not been on yet,  but I also like the feeling at home of a ship I have been on a few times.

If you did not have any of those feelings,  you would not be addicted to cruising Wink

I also do research on the ships & new ports that I have never been on. I always get excited on departure day. The only difference between now & my first cruise is that I am a little bit more disciplined about food. I still eat quite a bit but I don't eat constantly like I did on my first cruise.

When you get to a certain point in your journey through life..... Ahhh Heck--sometimes just getting out of bed is a Wow moment.

No, you're not alone.  I go through the same emotions.

We are still pretty new with only 4 cruises so far, but we feel the same "wow" moment from the time we start up the gangway I think. I love to book really early and let the excitement build as we get our pre and post cruise hotels booked, flights, car rentals etc. I've got a folder ready for our next cruise with all kinds of stuff in it for things we might want to see and do in the ports and post cruise vacation in Florida. We love that state!

Not just you – we’re still excited every time we board a ship to embark on a cruise! Love

We still get a WOW moment and we will be going on our 31st cruise next month. That said, I really enjoy seeing our first time friends board the ship because their WOW is being overwhelmed not just excitement.  It never gets old for me.

After over 50 cruises I still get so excited about taking a cruise.  It never loses its novelty.  I try to book different ships and cruise lines but mostly I aim for different itineraries.  The firt thing I do after lunch on embarkation day is to explore the ship.  My next cruise will be on HAL's new ms. Koningsdam.

We are no different here. Especially the wow factor. First look at the ship as you pull up to board it and the first day everything is a wow. I love the ships and I love cruising and the excitement is always there ... like a kid at Christmas.

Wouldn't it be great if everyday was that WOW moment.
