For April & May 2018, the cruise line Hurtigruten will bring the ms. Fram to cruise the East Coast of the US. It will call at NY, Boston, Newport, St John's, etc... on Canada and New England cruises. I sailed with Hurtigruten on a different ship from Bergen, Norway several years ago & it was a delightful cruise. The food was out of this world. For those who love smaller ships this is one to consider

We sailed on the ms. Trollfjord and we were able to board all the other ships in the line if they were in a port with us.The captain was quite visible in the evenings. Also I remember how exspensive everything was in Norway. But the Norway is beautiful. We were with a Vantage group.

We’ve looked at Hurtigruten before; their Norway itineraries with as many as 34 ports and 100 fjords are amazing! And the new ships they’re building for Antarctica and polar regions are redefining state-of-the-art!
I thought hurtigruten was Scandinavian for a kick to the nuts.
