If she's a frequent cruiser, then my first thought would be suicide.  At 74, I can't imagine her getting drunk and stupid enough to say, "Hold my beer and watch this".  Sad

How sad for the family and friends of the woman. People don't just fall overboard though, especially frequent cruisers.

If she went overboard, then I'm pretty sure it was a deliberate act on somebody's part.

Although the conspiracy theorist in me wants to go wild, I'm betting it was a severe case of the Christmastime blues.

It wasn't an accident, that's for sure.

Did she toss a big gaudy necklace into the water first ?
