We have visited the missing luggage area of a ship on embarkation day and seen many pieces of luggage with torn off tags. What do you do to protect yours?

How Do You Protect the Paper Luggage Tags?
49 Answers
We wrap the entire tag with packing tape. Works every time
keep on doing what you are happy doing. It works!
I love when people just staple the paper tag on. I just walk over, rip it off, and put one of my own tags on. After I find anything I like,( Hawaiian shirts ), I just tell my steward, " hey, this isn't mine " . He then sends it down to undelivered luggage. Cool huh ?
To funny!
It sounds like most of you use the packing tape idea as I used to do. It worked for me and it seems to work for everyone else.
Where did you buy the clear plastic holders? I found some at Fred Meyers a few years ago, they worked good but are worn out now. Fred Meyers no longer carries them and I can't find them anywhere.
Folks keep mentioning "clear plastic holders". Where do you get them? I bought some at Fred Meyers a few years ago but they are worn out now and can't find any anywhere. Fred Meyers no longer carries them.
Never mind, I just ordered some from Amazon.com. Tried Travel Smith at first but they didn't carry them. Amazon.com has all kinds.

I bought mine on Amazon.com
For our recent cruise I purchased a set of 4 clear tags on amazon. Loved them! They did not fall off or rip.
We use these reusable tag containers that we found on Amazon. They are made for cruise luggage tags and work great. You just print your tags, fold them and put them inside. Done like dinner.
