How do you prefer to be addressed?

I've noticed that on Carnival, some Stewards and Diningroom  wait staff refer to us by our first name only, but others call us Miss (or Mrs) Bonnie and Mr. Mike. Since these folks are strangers to us, I actually prefer they call me Miss or Mrs Bonnie and Mr Mike.

How do you like be addressed on the ship?

Hmm, never really thought about it.  I wonder if some of the difference may be the crew member’s country of origin or upbringing?  I guess I’m fine with whatever they’re most comfortable with.

I'm comfortable with any way.

I prefer just my first name or Mr. first name,   as long as it is not Mr. last name i'm good.  Being a tail end boomer,  MR is for my dad,  not me.

I guess Im good as long as they don't call me #@@ or #$$  ^)($

HappyDoesn't matter to us.  As long as it's a friendly face.

Doesn't matter to me.  These strangers are bringing food to me and cleaning up after me, so they can even call me &*

I like Ms. but it really doesn't matter.  Friendly and courteous is all I need.

I prefer Mr Rebel, or at least Mr BD. I have never appreciated the use of first names upon first meeting without invitation.

Does not matter to me either, under protest when I teach classes I have remitted to the students calling me, Mr. last name, when I was in class, the favorite instructor I had wanted us to call him by his first name. he always kept his students as more of a family. The practice now is to be aloof and use Mr. or Dr... I like just Brian or even Mr. Brian...

On the cruises we have been on. I have been addressed as Mr. John and My wife as Miss Monique. and we are fine with that. We did have to occasion to meet  Amy on our first cruise, She called us Mom and Dad..... and now with facebook and internet... Gramma and Granpa...

It doesn't matter. I'm happy they remember my name.
