I'm going to London next month.  If I had the cash would have done a Med cruise.  Not letting things bother me.

Very comfortable in doing so, just got off a one month cruise in that part of the world late December. Top spots today are the Balkan countries and anything on either side of the Adriatic Sea. Exceptions, are along the southern and eastern  Mediterranean coast, Israel still okay, but stay away from Turkey, Egypt, and Tunisia--far west of those three is Morocco which is safe and great.

Really glad to hear these comments ... I try not to let "world events" impact my travel decisions.

I'd love to go back to Europe and the Med.    My favorite place to cruise.

We look at it this way... if we are planning a cruise, where do we want to go?  Period.  We don't X off an entire continent or itinerary just because one port may be risky. That said, we may opt to not get off in the riskier port.

Living life is a risky proposition every day, every where. We don't let it dictate how we live but we consider high risk locations on a case-by-case basis.

Not concerned at all.  At least 3 trips to Europe this year for us.

Chances are higher you get hit by a car at home.........

especially if I'm driving  (you know that L.A. road rage).     J/K    Big Smile

Last year we visited Jordan, Oman, Israel and traveled through the Red Sea & the Suez Canal.  The captain deemed that Egypt was too dangerous, so we stopped in Sri Lanka instead.  In August we will be on a cruise leaving from Boston and cruising to Northern Europe and back to Boston.  No, I don't have any qualms about travel to these areas.  Next year we will go on another lengthy cruise taking in many ports in Africa and also visiting the Philippines.  If the area is dangerous at the time of our visit, the captain will not dock there.  We had a big problem  at the Pulse Nightclub  in Orlando, 60 minutes fr9om my home so trouble can be anywhere.
