the rare times we even have an issue, Norwegian has been great. We never walk off the ship without resolution.
How are you treated by customer service ?
I've only gone to Guest Services a couple of times and they were great on Carnival.
On my last cruise Customer service on the Carnival Vista was great. I had neighbors that would come back to their cabin at about 3 AM and carry on yelling, cackling and laughing. I had to go to Customer Service to quiet them down as I was woken up with yelling "You stupid N-------" at 3 AM one morning and another morning "I had him on the floor 3 or 4 times heh heh heh I had that boy on the floor". Security was on it in a couple min. They next day they called and asked if everything was ok. They did this on 5 nights that I had to call security.
Customer service on the NCL Star was very poor. The type of cabin we booked and what we got were two different things. I had called my TA before we left port and even with a TA calling the answer is "Sorry, ship is booked that is the only cabin for you" This is after my TA also confirmed before the cruise the type of cabin we booked. NCL did nothing to compensate for giving us wrong cabin class. TA stated this is why he does not like booking his clients on NCL. Other things like the cabin steward saying "Hello" in the hall way and "your in the cabin with 3 guys" I replied, "if you know there are 3 of us, why do you only give 2 sets of towels ?"
CS was great on both Carnival and Celebrity.
I've never had to use them on Princess.
We have never had an issue with Customer Service while on ship. In our limited need to deal with them they have always been friendly and helpful.
Customer service while on a cruise has been good, only once in 33 cruises have I had to return multiple times for the same issue that was not resolved to my satisfaction the first several time. Customer service via phone prior to a cruise for booking issues, has been very good when I get a knowledgeable agent and OK otherwise.
Onboard we have had pretty good customer service for the small issues we have had. The only bad customer service I have had is with NCL land based operation.
When we were on Princess, we had no real issues. The term " Customer Service" is often misunderstood. Many of these agents and personnel have no idea what the job means. It needs to be explained that without the "Customer" No customer service positions would be needed. On NCL I ended up writing a hand written letter to the President of NCL. I got great service about my concern. I work in customer service, and pride myself on a strong relationship with my customers. A Good customer service person is worth their weight in gold.

I only visited guest services once on RCCL to make sure our gratuities had been prepaid as promised by our TA. It wasn't clearly shown on the invoice and I was wanting to go ahead and pay on the second day if we didn't receive that perk, rather than having them added to our account on a daily basis. I think the gentleman thought we were going to ask to have gratuities removed--he got snooty as soon as he heard the word "gratuity". That's one of the few things I didn't care for on our cruise.
Found princess very helpful and friendly had no problems also the been with P&O and had no problems
