Holiday gifting - Ever get a cruise?

When I see holiday commercials featuring automobiles, I have to stop and wonder who are these people who give cars or lease cars as holiday gifts. I sure don't know any of them.  I started to think about would I give or want a cruise rather than a car, etc. Just daydreaming, mind you.

PC has a page just for cruise gifts.  I'm sure all the other lines do as well. It's a nice gesture that I'd not actually thought about before. Anyway, thought I would post a couple questions...

- Has anyone here ever given or received a cruise for a holiday gift?

- Has anyone booked on a cruise ever gotten onboard and discovered someone had purchased a gift for them through the cruise line's website?

No to the first part, but when we went on the Princess cruises, our son gifted us a couple spa day and snack in the cabin.

I think I will send feelers out there for the give idea though.... might be fun...

I wish !!!

I would love to get cruise gift cards to be used towards a future cruise. That would be awesome. Maybe I need to post a new FB status or start a go fund me for future cruises.

Technically, no!  But when we are cruising on a special day (birthday, anniversary or Christmas), I feel like it is a gift for that occasion. I wouldn't mind cruise and/or cruise related gifts.  I did a good one early in our cruising "career",  on a Halloween cruise I bought my DH a carnival jacket without him noticing and gave it to for Christmas.  It was fun seeing his surprise as he talked about wishing he had purchased it after we returned. from the cruise.Love

Nope!  However I will certainly have it on my "wish list"! Wink   Now I am giving "Carnival Gift Cards" to my kids to use for our family cruise next year.  I think they will be pleased.  Something new and different in their stockings!

Santa?  Are you listening???  I've been a VERY GOOD GIRL this year!!! Big Smile
