Have You Ever Received Incorrect Charges on Your Cruise Statement? How Easy Was the Problem Corrected?

Once we were charged for someone else's laundry bill and that was removed immediately.  Another time we were charged when the laundry service was a perk for us. We wer told that they put on the charge and later take it off and that is what happened.   Still another time, we had a voucher for a dinner for two in a specialty restaurant.  The voucher was not submitted by the specialty restaurant and the charge stayed on the bill for several days.  It eventually was removed but we had to go to the specialty restaurant to inquire about the lost voucher.  Luckily we had a photo of us taken at the table with the voucher sitting right there.  The moral  here is to be sure to check your statement regularly not just on the last night.  It may be too late then to have incorrect charges removed.

Once,  the line charged my account for a gook that my cabin mate had purchased.   I called the desk and they took care of it no problem.

Yes and went immediately to customer service and they removed the charge.  No biggie for me.

On one cruise, for some reason, there were several charges for the cabin across the hall from us.  It was corrected immediately. Supposedly it was a coding error on the cards.

Early in our history, I noticed a charge on my credit card statement from a company in England. I have never been to England, and I didn't recognize the charge so I disputed it.  As soon as I hung up the phone I realized what it was......it was the parent company of the onboard spa.  The reason I didn't recognize it, was, it hit my card 3 months after we got home !   I called my cc company and told them about the error ( mine ).

I do think that the above posts do show the importance of checking your statement as you go along. Last cruise, after the third day, we asked for a statement and noticed that there was an error which was swiftly sorted after a visit to guest services. I am only pleased that we spotted it early and not left it until the final morning when disembarking. I do believe that the Norwegian Epic which is our next cruise has the statement on the cabin screen to enable you to check yourself

We were charged for a drink we never bought. The cruise line caught it and corrected it before we saw it.
