Have you ever fell on your Azz?

Last year on Valor for the first 2 days I was enjoying margaritas. On Tuesday I did not drink a thing because I wanted to take it easy. After Belize and after dinner I was so tired I went to the serenity deck and there was no one around and I took the most restful nap until about 11pm. I woke up and was heading aft for a bite to eat and still had on my dress shoes (slick bottoms) walked two decks down on lido and on the 3rd set of steps I lost it. The deck gets slippery at night and down I went hard on my right shoulder and it hurt. No one really cared or laughed or even helped (didn't need it) I went on my way feeling like an idiot. Its easy to screw up If you are not paying attention.

Never happened to me---at least when there were witness present.....

Not on the ship.........

Yes, someone pushed a wheelchair over my foot in the exit of a crowded dining room. The pain was so bad, I crumbled to the ground as the crowd gawked on. I'm laying on the floor thinking my foot was broken and the poor woman pushing the chair and the one in the chair felt so badly that I felt sorry for them. I carefully got up, knew it wasn't broken, and the woman pushing burst into tears. I hugged her and said, don't worry, you've been the best wheel chair pusher on the entire cruise ... the wheels turned out on their own ... not your fault. The crowd cheered and I limped off. Embarrassing yes but wouldn't be the first time I landed on my derriere in a crowd. Learned early, dust yourself off, get up, smile and move on!

Never fell on a ship, I did trip on an excursion one time but no injury, I was recovering from a sprained ankle and it kind of gave out on.

I only pack dress shoes that have a rubber bottom for going on ships. I got used to those when working in down Town and walking from the subway station to the office (a couple of miles a day).

Not on a ship, but I have polish roots so I've fallen up stairs plenty of times and had a nice bruise on my bumm after a night out in college (dancing and alcohol were involved!).

I once fell while carrying a telescope. I landed right on my azimuth Big Smile

That's a Cromp post I've been reading now for 5 years! Happy

Not on my AZZ but I did fall walking down the steps on Destiny. As I was stepping down the ship rolled out from under me as I took a step and slipped down the steps on my knees.
