Has Anyone Spent (or going to spend) New Year's Eve on a Cruise?

Is it "crazy" or just a normal "holiday" on ship?

Yes, twice.  Other than the night's gather in the Atrium or on the Lido deck starting at 10:30 or so, it's just another cruise at a much higher cost.

We have considered this. Perhaps in time we'll give it a go but right now we like to be around family over the holidays so heading off would be kind of anti-family unless everyone went.

Keeping in mind that there is a certain percentage of people on any given cruise who drink to excess, I'd expect the same or worse of that group on a NYE cruise.

No freaking way for this man... Reread the unruly children thread and the hot tub thread..

Not a chance.  Did one cruis over christmas in 2010.  Not no more.

I have never done this but would love too.  My sister & I keep talking about it. She, however can't up pass 11 PM so I hesitate.   I will be watching for others who have done it.
