Guest services line??????

I have only been on 5 cruises and only once did I feel the need to wait in line for guest service and it was premature on my part. I checked the kiosk when I boarded to see if my $4oo was applied to my account. The Kiosk did not reflect it so I finally was able to speak to the rep and she showed me that is was and so did the TV channel in my cabin. Other that I never once felt the need to see them. Why are the lines gigantic at the service desk? What possibly could these 100's of people a day possibly need? How can so many people have so many issues? Boggles my mind.

I too am baffled by that ... the lines are always ridiculous throughout the cruise, not just the last night.

Some may have bogus charges on their account.

Some may have erased the magnetic strip on their cruise card.

Some may be requesting a full refund of their cruise because it rained yesterdaySad

I've gone to them many times. I usually wait until there is a short line. If we have a problem on our charges, we like to get settled quickly. I've also gone to them when we had a luggage lock that wouldn't open. They had the tools to break it,which we didn't. I've also gone to leave a thank you for a crew member that I want to sure gets to management (also thanked said crew member personally). Our room key has been demagnetize and customer service is where it is fixed.

I think once and my BF went to double check the time on something because it wasn't clear... Other than that we just go with the flow.

We have gone a few times, wrong charges, fighting neighbors, kids pounding on cabin doors. I'd say maybe 4 times in a couple dozen cruises.

People line up to do things such as remove the daily gratuities from their bills or to try to straighten out some accounting error or some discrepancy between what they believe they are entitled to and what the cruise line says they are entitled to.

I go several times..I always seem to have a question. I never wait very long so it doesn't bother me.

People also go that use a cash account instead of a credit card for the sign and sail card.

I hope that I do not have to see them for issues... If anything, maybe a positive interaction or a kudos for someone!

I don't go often, but the reasons i do go. I get change I like to carry singles on the ship for tipping if I feel the desire. Bogus charge on my account (only happened twice) or my card gets demagnetized.
