Grenada - Nice Port but Misunderstood

Been to Grenada twice now and really enjoy the port. It is probably one of the more clustered pier areas and if walking (especially through the tunnel) the poverty is quite apparent. That said, once out of the clutter, the island is beautiful and the people are friendly. Strongly recommend a taxi tour in a mini-van - we chose one for two people only and paid $60 (usually 20-25 per person in an 8 person van) The Nut-Med I bought in April has now become a tourist attraction announced on the ship so price has gone up lol but it can be found everywhere - not just the ship recommended location where the lines were long.

Again, if you walk into the town you will be UNDER-impressed because of the congestion, steep streets and obvious poverty.
