I like the Agent Pendergast series by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. It's about an FBI agent that investigates murders that appear to be supernatural but end up having a logical but weird explanation. These come up with some complicated plots too.
So funny! I no longer bring books when I travel. I bring my trusty Kindle & iPad.
I was a bit concerned going through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea but all went well on my last cruise. We did have barbed wire on the open deck. Just seeing that was unsettling!
I actually looked up the book. Boy do you have expensive tastes. The book runs between a LOW, LOW price of $42.35, $54.30 - $60.00. I can get it through Prime for $60. Oh my! I'll check my local library.
