Luxury Mattress?? I don't think so.

In response to review, DKB says ...

Why didn't you ask the cabin steward (George) for a different mattress. On any cruise we have been on we have found all you have to do is ask and if possible they will do or get it for you, they are there to please.

You know, I just didn't think they could swap it out that easily. I thought it might be asking for too much. I guess I should have done that. The couple we traveled with also had a terrible mattress - perhaps we could have saved ourselves a lot of pain by asking. :-)

I agree with what the others replied.  If you were experiencing so much discomfort with the mattress you would have been wise to speak up.  We have found that all the cruise lines try to fix a problem for you if at all possible.  If they can't for some reason, most bend over backwards and give you a perk of some kind.  Someone who books a suite should not have this problem. I hope that you don't run into this problem again on another ship.  Keep on cruising!
