Girls getaway cruise on NCL Spirit

Hi, so excited to be here, my friend is turning 50 and 2 of us are helping her celebrate by going on a NCL Mediterranean cruise, leaving Civitavecchia on 19/8 for a back to back cruise.

ALL advice/ information will be gratefully received as this is my first international cruise.

We are flying in from Australia with some spare days booked in Rome.

If anyone here is going on that cruise too please let me know.

Thanks in advance xxx

Rome is great for a few days,  the subway is a good way to get around.  Do not eat at any of the trendy restaurants on the main streets or super tourist areas,  if you go a block or two back you can get better meals at better prices. From Rome to the port is about 1 1/2 hour drive,  instead of a taxi ask the hotel how much for a car service or you can take a train that drops you a few blocks from the port but then you have to carry your bags on and off the train.

You can watch Rick Steves videos for free on YouTube  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=rick+steves+rome    he has a ton of good information.

Absolutely love NCL Spirit. It is the first ship we sailed and is still my favourite. I love the decor and everything about it.
