Cruise Review

In response to review, deke01 says ...

I was on this same cruise.‚  I agree the dining and cabin service was excellent.‚  Our assistant waiter was very personable, so much so that two of the older ladies at our table were competing over which would get to marry him and take him home.‚

The only thing I would disagree with in this review is in reference to the my time dining.‚  We prefer to have a specific table and wait staff so that they get to know our preferences.‚  For example, when we arrived, our iced tea was immediately brought to the table and our preferred flavors of hot tea were automatically delivered with dessert.‚  But that's just our preference, I can understand how others would prefer the flexibility of any time dining.‚

I am one of those that you mentioned in your reply who like the flexibility of Anytime Dining. Sometimes when we are in port, we have to hurry back for our early dining time.. With Anytime Dining, we have the ability to stay later on shore. Usually we are able to get the same servers anyway and often the same table. Everyone's needs or wants are different, though,so I, too can understand why others prefer a set dining time.. Isn't it nice that all our needs can be accommodated on cruise ships?

I prefer the early seating, but am happy that there are options to please everybody.

Thank you for posting your review. ‚ I love when a review starts of with "My favorite part of the cruise was just about everything". ‚ Happy sails!!

Glad you had such a fantastic cruise, thanks for the review!

Thank you for the review! I am often curious about the my time dining. I typically stick with the early seating, but last cruise, I could see how it would have been a benefit as one excursion we had a late lunch and were not hungry by dinner time... We just ate at the pizza place on the promanade.

With the My Time dining, you get the convenience of dining any time that is convenient to you (possibly subject to standing in line for a few minutes during rush hours) in exchange for the experience of having the same wait staff.

Some lines (or perhaps I just got extremely lucky last time) will seat you at the same table with my time dining if possible.

Since I usually eat dinner between 5:30 and 6:00 anyway, I try to get the set dining time.
