Found Our Sea Legs

My name is Mazel (May-zel) Most people just call me Mazy or MazyBee. I found this site through CruiseTipsTV, which we love, and found after our first cruise. There is so much information I wish we had known before hand. But I think we made it through very well on our first sailing.

My husband and I went on our first cruise in Sept 2017. We went from SLC, UT to Orlando, FL to sail on the Carnival Liberty. I love to visit new places and the feeling of not having to worry about a place to stay or what and where to eat, both of which cruising has takes care of. Cruising has spoiled us. Last year was only the first of many.

I have already booked a sailing on the Imagination for June. We sail out the day after I graduate from my Masters Program. I'm so excited to just relax. This will be our second 4 night cruise. And I have a 7 night cruise booked for next March during our anniversary. I'm super excited for that one as 4 nights really isn't enough time. I am also looking forward to trying Royal Caribbean, which we will book to surprise my in-laws within the next couple of years. I'm looking forward to making cruise friends and all the adventures we will have while sailing the seas.

Don't be shy, drop by and say hi. Hopefully we'll see you on a cruise.

Welcome to a wonderful addiction! Once you have completed your seven day cruise, you will notice that four days just aren't enough.

I already feel that way. I'm anxiously awaiting next March.

Welcome to our family, Mazy -- glad you found us. Congratulations on your earning your Masters!

If you find you have any questions, or simply want to chat (we have a thread for that! "Where is Everybody") please just join in!

BDRebel,

Thanks for that information.

My sentiments exactly! Big Smile

Hi Mazy and welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of helpful information to prepare for your next cruise. Congratulations on your Masters and hope you have a wonderful celebration!

Welcome to Cruiseline.com MazyBee! We all love cruising and this is a great place for help planning your next trip and talking about past adventures!

Welcome and Congratulations on the Masters Degree!

Enjoy the site; you will find helpful hints, interesting facts and miscellaneous info abounds here.

Good Cruising!

Ditto! You have an question ask away. Someone here will probably be able to answer it. Just remember, cruising can be addicting!

Welcome Mazy,  Congrats on the Masters.    You will like the Imagination,  it is a nice ship, a Fantasy class ship (the smallest that Carnival has)  I have been on it and 2 of her sister ships.  I enjoyed my cruise on all of them.  Prefect size for a 4 night cruise.   Catalina Island is very nice safe relaxing port to visit,  I have been there lots of times so I just wander the island for the day,  Ice cream at Olaf's, maybe walk up to the park or to the new beach with the zip lines.  Ensanada is an interesting port,  keep your eyes open and stay to the main streets if you wander out by yourself.  I enjoyed the wine tasting tour where we went out to the winery.  I can recommend Santo Thomas Winery,  good stuff,  I love the Port they make.   The "Blow Hole" can be a fun excursion if you want the shopping that lines the street to the blow hole,  but shop vendors will be kind of pushy (like most port towns).

If you pre or post stay a night The Queen Marry Hotel is rite next to the port of Long Beach (same parking lot and structure)  and lots of good place on the water in Long Beach I like Parker's Lighthouse for sea food.

Welcome to the forum,  I hope you enjoy yourself here and that we can be of help if you have any questions.

With a name like Mazel I’m guessing you’ll be spending time in the casino.   Welcome to CruiseLine.

okay I’ll explain......Mazel ( pron: Mah-zel )  means Luck in Yiddish ( and Hebrew ).  Hence Mazel Tov ==>. Good luck
