Formal Night

I asked a short time ago if there was a formal night on this ship because I read some say there is some say their isnt. Royal Caribbean Wrote this back. I guess to clearify for those of you wondering the same it is up to the ship director. I guess that is why there has been so many mixed answers to this question

Typically, on an eight-night cruise vacation like yours, there will be two formal nights and six smart casual nights. The formal nights usually take place towards the beginning and end of your vacation, while the smart casual nights vary at the discretion of the ship.

The actual number of formal and smart casual nights per sailing is left to the discretion of the ship. Details regarding which nights will be formal or smart casual also vary from sailing to sailing. Smart casual or formal attire is recommended for most of the onboard specialty restaurants. Please consult the daily Cruise Compass guide once onboard for specific information.

The suggested evening attire for all guests regardless of age is as follows:

Casual: You're on vacation – relax! Jeans, polos, sundresses and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck. Shorts are welcomed for breakfast and lunch.

Smart Casual: Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats and blazers are snazzy and welcomed. Jeans are acceptable in the dining venues provided they are free of holes, rips and tears.

Formal: Make it a night out in your best black-tie look – suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns. There can be 1-3 formal nights during a sailing and is at the ship’s discretion.

Kindly note that all requests to deviate from the recommended dining room attire must be made to our dining staff once onboard, as it is typically the Maitre d’ who has the authority to make exceptions to the ship's dress code policy. Please also be advised that, bare feet are not allowed at any time in any venue and shorts, t-shirts, and tank tops are not considered appropriate attire in the dining rooms at dinner. However, casual dress dining will be available nightly in the Windjammer Café.
