Flat irons

Very curious whether you can take flat irons on Royal Caribbean cruises?

I do not think you can. Best is to call RCI. We have been denied a garment steamer one trip even though we have taken it on other trips out of the same port a month earlier.

Here is the list of prohibited item for RCCL. There is an exception made for curling irons and hair straighteners. (Which I'm guessing is the same thing??? I'm bald so not familiar with these things. Oh wait, do men with hair use that stuff? It's 1:50am, my mind is muddy. Anyhow sound like you can take it.)

Flat Iron is for hair ???? I thought it was a clothing Iron, guess being a guy with a buz cut no need for hair tools.

Wow, I'm lost then. I problem shouldn't have commented. I'm dog tired and a guy, 2-1/2 hours left in my shift. I apologize. So it's a cloth iron? That's definitely prohibited.

I thought it was for cooking a steak.....oh well.... what the hell do I know?

Not only sliding into utter confusion but now close to madness. Hair, clothes, and now steaks. What do you tell this dear OP? This all could make or break her cruise!

Now that the men have opined on this topic hair or not ... I will venture to bet that she is referring to a hair tool known as a flat iron which would be allowed ...

Sanity restored. Thanks Debbie!

Debbie to the rescue

P.S. Todd, I do know for sure the George Foreman is not for hair, it's good for steak. Big Smile

I think you guys should be applauded for trying to answer the question Love
