First Cruise Memories!

18 years ago today we embarked on our first cruise -- and it changed our lives!  We've been on 62 cruises so far and have the next 4 planned.  We are completely addicted to cruising!

When was your first cruise? When's your next cruise? And if you feel like bragging...tell us how many you've been on!

Well, My first cruise was on the Golden Princess to Hawaii. I have a review posted.

My next cruise is a combined itinerary from New Orleans to Bermuda on the NCL Dawn.

I have 3 other cruise pencilled into my wish calendar, we will see how that goes.

I've been on three and I have posted them all

Our first was on The Carnival Holiday about 20 years ago.    We try to do one every 18 months or so.

We've also had a few cancellations

My first Cruise

My first cruise was June 24, 1996 on RCCL Viking Serenade stateroom 8008 for the 4 night down to Baja (when Baja was still fun and safe). 18 years and 21 cruises later I'm set to go on the Carnival Glory in less then 2 weeks to the Eastern Caribbean. I started with short cruises while I was building a career and moved up to some 10 and 14 night cruises with 2 or 3 week land package before and after the cruise since I went semi-retired. This next trip is only a week because the friends I'm traveling with are still working and have limited time off.

I caught the cruise bug from my parents that started to cruise in 1973 on the first Pacific Princes (The Love Boat) I still have the blanket they brought back form Mexico. My parents had the bug bad. I can remember one day mom answering the phone, it was the travel agent. He had a last minute cancellation that he could get them at a great price. Mom was in the kitchen yelling to dad who was in the living room, the dates, days and ship name. After mom said to book the cruise she asked her last question "by the way, where are we going". They did not care of the itinerary as long as they were on a good ship.

I traveled with my parents and a friend in 1997 on the Dawn Princes to Alaska and did a family cruise with one of my brothers, his family and dad in 2008 on the RCCL Monarch Of The Seas. now my brother and his family love cruising also.

The cruise addiction has given me great memories of family and friends(tons of photos on my hall way wall to keep the memories alive.) I am trying to get a family cruise together next summer to Alaska.

In 8 days , I will be going on my 90th Cruise.....I am addicted
