First Cruise/Honeymoon

Hi, I`ll be going on my first cruise in August to Cozumel Mexico for my honeymoon with my fiancé(then husband). Ive heard different things on what to do on the cruise and also heard about the cruise ship doing special things for people celebrating special occasions. I am not sure if that is true. Any advice would be much appreciated. Neither of us have been on a cruise before. We are very excited.

It all depends on the cruise line and ship. There's lots to do on cruises. If you're wanting something special done I suggest calling the cruise line and asking.

ok. We will be on Carnival Triumph.

Double congratulations and you have picked a great way to honeymoon. I am not familiar with what Carnival does or does not offer but stick around and many on the board are very much Carnival people and will be happy to help.

Thank you. I am looking forward to what people have to suggest that we do. We don't get vacations just for us so this is a treat. I have a 5 year old stepson so no alone time or solo couple vacations.

Congrats!!! You are going to have loads of fun on the cruise. If you booked through a travel agent let them know. They can add extra perks for you. If not, contact Carnival they sometimes will add perks to your reservation. You may get offered free upgrades, a cake a main dining, or even a bottle of champagne.

Also, Carnival sometimes plays games like the Newlywed Game and Hasbro games. If you're not shy. Those are fun activities you all can do together!!!

The best way to have fun in Cozumel is through a shore excursion. If you opt out of those, catch a cab to a private beach and spend the day relaxing.

Happy Travels!!!
