Favorite Bar on a ship

Thought about this as I read about bars on the Grand Princess.  My favorite place to sip wine on that ship was the Explorer's Lounge followed closely by the Wheel House.  How about you all out there?  Which bar on which ship was/is your favorite?

Our tradition for the past six cruises is to get our first drink on the highest bar, on the aft most deck. We sit, drink, and enjoy the moment with a so-so view at the moment, realizing next drink at this bar we will see nothing but the beautiful ocean and the ships wake. (Terrace or Outrigger Bar)

We really enjoy the Latin music played in some of the ship's venues, or listening to the Atrium bar entertainers.

A piano bar

Piano bar for fun place to drink,  for relaxing drinking I used to like the Viking Crown Lounge on the older RCI ships.  I also liked the Champagne bar on the Radiance Of The Sea,  close to water level,  great o pull a big padded chair up to the floor to ceiling windows,  open a good bottle of red and watch the sea go by.

Dang good question!

I try not to frequent the same bar a lot no matter on a cruise or dry land, just my way of thinking,  but on a ship, I would say the lido deck bar beside the pizza pirate (on the Fantasy class ships). That way I can grab my drink and slide out to the back of the ship where I can watch off into the darkness - ye I love the darkness.

My favourite bar is the one that goes up allowing me entrance to the parking lot at the pier. Big Smile

During the night I seem to gravitate to the Casino bar... during the day I am usually at the aft deck pool and get few drinks there.

I was giving this question some thought and I was coming up with a lot of different answers – sometimes even different bars on the same ship.  Then I realized it’s not the bar, it’s the bartender!  Okay, sometimes it’s a server, but for us it’s the crew that makes it special, not the venue.

Excellent point.  I know that bar tenders and servers are very busy but if they at least make an attempt to be friendly it makes a huge difference.
