Family Vacation before step daughter gets married

Me and my husband have booked a cruise for his daughter and fiancé before they get married in November. This cruise will be their first one, should we set up excursions or just walk around the stops. They have never been to the places were are going, but me and my husband have.

Really, it depends on the ports you are visiting and what you like to do.

Some ports are easy to explore on your own while others don't have much at the port areas.  I recommend posting your specific itinerary or going to the port of call area of this website (under the Explore tab) to do some research.

Enjoy your cruise!

I would ask them how they feel. Give them the option. In some ports they may want to wander while in other ports there may be something they are interested in that an excursion would allow them to see.

Hi Dwille!  You’ve been there before, but are you prepared to be the tour guide?  What did you love about your first visit to these ports?  They deserve that same experience.  We tend to do excursions the first time or two we visit a port then venture out on our own after that.  If they want to do something that you’ve “been there, done that”, there’s nothing wrong with splitting up and sharing stories of your adventures over dinner.  All part of the joy of cruising!
