Extended family vacations

Do you cruise with other family members, like your siblings and their families or just your immediate family at the most?

My sis is cruising with her hubby and daughter in January and has invited us along. I'd love to go, but told her I'd have to be a stowaway, and sleep under the bed, because we are cruising in March and can't afford 2 cruises. Our brother said he'd stowaway and sleep in a lifeboat.

i guess we will just have to cruise vicariously through her this time.

I do cruise often with my twin sister: sometimes i cruise with an older one too but she isn't really interested in cruises.  We all travel together often  on land vacations.

We sometimes cruise with my younger brother.

We are making a tradition of a family cruise with all the kids, their spouses, and grands.  We have missed the years that one or more has been pregnant or had a baby under one year old.  We were able to get our first cruise in when my oldest daughter was 2 weeks under the cutoff date for her pregnancy.  And I thought work schedules were hard to coordinate Big Smile

No. Not gonna happen either. DGF? Yes. Her family? Yes. My family? No.

A couple of friends I met on FV? The first chance I get.

I have but we prefer our Renaissance Family to my biological one.

I prefer an extended vacation AWAY from the family   Big Smile    I have only done 2 cruises with family members, one solo and the rest were with friends.

Cruises have just been DH and I, or with the immediate family (kids & grands).

My kids don't want to cruise but our grandchildren seem quite interested. I think we'd have to pay for the all of the grands expenses to get them to cruise with us. Um, that's not going to happen. Sad

Pretty much the same as I feel, especially replacing FV with CL!

We often cruise with a group of family and friends – and always have a fantastic time!
