Everyone is so nice on this site!

I just wanted to say that I have only been on here for a few days and so far everyone has been very nice and helpful with any questions that I have had.  No one has been rude or judgmental at all and that really appreciate that.  I have been on other sites and have seen all sorts of rudeness and belittlement to other members, but not here, so far.

Thanks for all of your help and input.

Have a wonderful day and happy Cruising!

Welcome aboard, and yes we  really are a nice bunch..Big Smile

We may disagree at times, but always carry the debate in a civil manner, and shake hands at the end.

Welcome to the Forum.

I have only been a member for a month but there is no comparison to a certain other cruise forum site. As you say Dmblex, there is no nastiness or rude comments and you can learn some interesting facts about cruising

Give me time

We are all happy to have you on the site.  Please continue to post and ask questions.  I think that it is important to be civil even when you do not think that the poster is being fair to the cruise line.  Welcome aboard!

To funny! Welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site, we are over all a nice helpful bunch. We all enjoy the friendliness of this site and try our best to be polite and helpful. We do go off topic now and then but all in good fun.

Glad you found us and look forward to reading your reviews and feedback.

That's probably an understatement. Over on C.C. it seems every thread has its share of forum Nazi's. The least little thing will set them off and they have no compunction at all of immediately ridiculing a poster. It seems like they just troll the threads in order to find statements that annoy them.

One time I began a thread on the Oceania forum. Their website was a little unclear and I had yet to receive a brochure that they were sending me. All I did was ask a single question about amenities in one class of cabin. Man, in no time at all four different Oceania faithful jumped down my throat. They accused me of just looking at the "pretty pictures" and not reading the text, compared me to all sorts of the undesirables that frequent cruise lines, to boot, they were incorrect about how the language was worded in the line's website. That was proven when I received their printed brochure and management acknowledged their website error. I know it was petty, but I was so PO'ed I threw all the Oceania literature in the trash.

Just recently a number of folk, including yours truly, were honestly trying to ferret out one cruise line's confusing check in luggage boarding procedure. Some dude erupted and began accusing us of being, quote: "Sea Lawyers", "Looking for Loopholes" and "Trying to beat the System". I responded--"So you believe we are looking for loopholes do you? It is my opinion, for the most part, that folk are just simply trying to figure out exactly what the policy is since it is contradictory and confusing in some respects. Making assumptions and accusing others of being cheats and "playing sea lawyers" doesn't advance civil discourse." Hope I never get like that.

Yes indeed--the people that frequent this website are much more congenial and sociable. Does wonders for my blood pressure.
