I would strongly suggest that you discuss this with your travel agent. Personally, I budget about $100.00 a day for my wife and I for alcohol, based on the average cost of $5.00 a drink. I find that to be quite accurate over the length of the cruise. Now your cruise may have drink packages available and certain prices, some believe it is a good deal, others not so much. Depending on the amount of time on board between stops and factoring in shore tours you can get a good idea of how much you might drink.

Let us know how things go.

We usually just drink wine on a cruise ship and buy by the bottle or take a pacvkage plan. On our Grand Voyage we were able to pre-order a drink a day for each of us at dinner. It worked out fine for us. On our HAL cruise drink prices were only $5.95 - $6.95 at Happy Hour.

Haven't been on the Armonia yet but we booked a cruise for late April...as part of our Fantastica pkg we got a 20 drink voucher and $50 USD on-board spending credit each. We're not heavy drinkers... 2 or 3 a day max..I noted a bar menu I saw online from an MSC Cruise review and from what I gather a non-premium cocktail runs $6 avg, I think draft beer is $5 ... wine by glass may be $6.50 . If you drink more than 4 or 5 drinks a day then maybe a beverage pkg is the way to go. However some beverage pkgs require everyone in the cabin to purchase a separate pkg. So if you're a drinker and your shipmate isn't... then a drink voucher may be the way to go.

Thank you for your comments, we have cruised many times before on Thomsons cruises, and always book direct online, not through an agent, but this is the first MSC cruise we are going on, presume the drink prices are more expensive, I spoke to a person in the main office re wine package, and they said that the wine package is a mixture of white and red wine, and you cannot change that, as we only drink red I feel we will have to order as we go, would love to converse with anyone who has been on the Armonia recently, thank you.

I like the HAL Happy Hours , buy one get the 2nd one for a dollar

Thankyou GTVCRUISER, can I ask you is that on the MSC cruiseline ?
