Does it worsе to take a snorkel set from home?

I will go to the Carribean and I booked the barrier reef snorkel excursion. Do you suggest bringing a snorkeling set from home or it's good enough to rent it on-site?

We brought our own gear on a couple cruises, but soon decided it wasn’t worth the added weight and space, especially when flying to the cruise. We’ve never had any issues with the gear included in excursions or available to rent.

What do you mean “does it worse”?

I read it as “Is it worth it”

Why bring your own when you have a chance to rent it, it takes up a lot of your luggage space!

I usually take my own as I go snorkeling on my own. You can get sets at Wal Mart for about $20.
