Do You Use the Library on Cruise Ships?

Now that so many of us bring our tablets on cruises, I was wondering how many of us still us the library?

I bring books along and also use the library. Despite all the smart phones and tablets and lap tops.... Books are still the ultimate software.

Never actually knew that there was a library on board. Certainly never saw one

I used to use the ship Library if I was doing a 14 night cruise.   The Celebrity Equinox had a good selection in the library.   I now carry my tablet that has about 100 books on it.

My wife reads a lot, brings lots of books plus really uses the ship's library. She is not enamored by the tiny libraries on the new ships. She asks why it is the smaller the ship the larger the library and not the reverse?

Even if I don't check out a book to read, I always visit the library to see what's available.

Sadly, some of the libraries are getting smaller.  I usually go in the morning before breakfast for the peace and quiet.

What!  Only 100 books...  I must have 500+ at least - all free.  I only purchased a couple, mainly ones written by friends.  I read them as fast as I can but I never catch up.

I might have stuck my head in a couple, but I have never actually used one. I wouldn't miss it if they disappeared, but I can understand why some would be bothered about it.

My husband does... and the Crown Princess had the best library of our recent cruises.

I think that the larger ships are the newer ones.  Once tablets became popular, less passengers sought out the library.  I won't be surprised if libraries disappear from ships soon.
