Do you still keep in touch with friends you met on a cruise?

We have made some wonderful friends on past cruises.  Some we dine with when they visi our area.  Others we keep in touch with by email and Facebook.  Some we even travel with again.  Do you have any lasting friendship with fellow passengers on a cruise?

I met a couple on the Oosterdam , we have been on 3 cruises, I met a couple on the Elation , they have a condo in Cabo San Lucas , everytime I cruise into Cabo , I visit them at the Condo.

You are lucky to have found such good friends. Thanks for replying, GTVCRUISER.

I got Birthday wishes from friends we met on our first cruise. We have also met up with them in Vegas a while ago. The sisters we met on the Bermuda Cruise, still e-mail us and we chat on Skype. On our first cruise our bartender kept our e-mail address and now we get updated pictures of her kids, and Yes, a Christmas card.

like any people we meet during our lifetimes, communication is the keys and acceptance of every persons "quirks" is a must.

We have a lot of fun with the people we have met. I hope to meet many more.

Absolutely, we’ve made some wonderful friends over the years while cruising! Unfortunately though, I’d say there are many more people we’ve met that we had the best intentions to stay in touch with but fell out of contact with nonetheless. Folks get busy; life gets in the way. Things like Facebook make it much easier nowadays; communication is important and it’s certainly worth the effort to maintain those shipboard friends over time!

I was happy to read that some of you made some lasting friends onboard ships.
