Do you Spend More Money Cruising to Alaska, Mexico or Caribbean?

Excursions seem pricier in Alaska but it's also easier to do inexpensive beachy things in the Caribbean and Mexico.  Do you find one destination more costly than others?

I found Alaska to be quite expensive in comparison, including the Seattle port.

I think Alaska is more expensive,  the excursions ($600.00 for helicopter to the dog sled camp and dog sled ride),  for Alaska I need warm clothing and shoes for rain or snow,  for Mexico just shorts and t-shirts.  I also need flights to Alaska where I can drive to the port of Los Angeles to go to Mexico.

I think cruise and excursion wise Alaska is more expensive, but it may have to do with the remoteness of a lot of excursions and possibly the fact they do not rely as heavily on the tourism money as the Caribbean/Mexico

I would have to say we spend more money cruising to Alaska. Not on excursions actually cruising. We love Alaska and do our own thing in the ports. We also use the Northbound and southbound to see our daughter. She went to Alaska while in the Air Force and stayed. So we take a Northbound visit a couple of weeks then southbound home. That way my flight is only 2 1/2 hoursHappy
