Do you need documention if cruise with a child that is related to you stay in your cabin but parents are staying in different cabin

I will be going on Carnival Valor in May my mother and I choice to put my nephew in our cabin. To give his parent time alone and to help them save move. We are on the same deck as them but are rooms are not close together.  I read need to know information that if a child was travel without the parents with grandparent or other relative they need sign documention from parent. But it did not say about grandparent stay with child and parents in different room.  Thanks for the help

That is so thoughtful of you and your mom. We could guess at an answer, but the best way to find out is to phone the Cruiseline and ask, to make sure the information is correct.

Enjoy your cruise.

The child is traveling with his parents....they are on your same ship and sailing.  When my niece (at the time underage) sailed with us, her parents and a friend of the family, she stayed in the room with the friend.  No additional documentation was required. I agree with BonMike, if you want to be positive call the cruise line.

We carry documentation of our grand kids wheather parents go or not.  Better safe than sorry
