Do you miss some of the crew when you leave?

I'm finding myself missing some of the awesome crew I felt really drawn to during my recent crew on the Ecstasy!!!! Nervous

I think we all miss some of the crew to one extent or another ... such as after getting up in the morning and having a shower going to the kitchen and finding there is no coffee waiting and nothing has been prepared for breakfast. Then dejectedly going back to your room and finding that your bed is still messy and that when you check the bathroom the towel you dropped on the floor is still there. Quite normal after a cruise particularly the longer ones ;) On a more personal note though yes it is quite understandable that you would miss someone that you talked to on a daily basis and in some cases became friends with. I have seen many post on here of having crew members as friends from cruises that they took years before and still maintaining that friendship. Getting an email address allows for the communication channels to remain open. Not always the same as that face to face chatting each day but it helps.

Still in contact with two of the crew met a few years ago. One in Europe, send pictures of her kids.

The other in the Philippines , he put 4 daughters through university on a room stewards salary.

I miss only a few and none of them did anything for me except serve a couple of drinks. Just nice genuine people that I enjoyed talking to. Oh yea and the bartender who fixed my stomach ache !!!

No, I have never missed any of the crew. However, I do have found memories about some that I have interacted closely with.

Absolutely we miss some of them! We’ve made some wonderful connections with crew members over the years!

I miss my main bartender every night! Always kept my glass full, and a fun crew to be around. I know my BF misses the free drinks too lol

ABSOLUTELY!!! I get teary eyed at the end of every cruise :(

No. Never. I forget them as fast as they forget me. I'd rather look forward to my next cruise.

I have run into staff members who remembered me even though they had changed ships. They went from the Gem to the Breakaway, as did we. One was a maitre d, one was a photographer. That was cool.

I have kept in touch with a couple over the years. I have gone on some ships because I had become friends with a crew member. One friend is an officer, that is the best they get some time off to hang out, go into to some ports and they get free drinks Big Smile

I do miss some of the crew members, two in particular. One was from Colombia & worked in the jewelry store on the Carnival Liberty. I still keep in touch with her on Facebook. She has since transferred to the Valor. The other one was from the U.K. & was a member of the entertainment staff on the Carnival Dream. Unfortunately, she was so busy the last night I didn't get a chance to ask her for her e-mail address. She said she will be on the Splendor this fall. There are others that I had some nice conversations with but didn't see them more than a couple of times on the ship. I have seen a few crew members on multiple ships.
