I personally like the look of the anchor in jewelry. Especially if there's rhinestones involved. I don't have an anchor tattoo but thought about it. Without going into a long history lesson- The anchor is oldest symbols used in tattoos. Also, the anchor has been around since the Sumerians in 2000-2500 BC. Would you get one to signify your love of cruising? Maybe you already have one
Do you love cruising enough to get an anchor tattoo?

Monique and I had this discussion when we were last in Hawaii. I suggested that we do something to commemorate our First cruise, Our second cruise, the Hawaiian Holiday, The Vegas Vacation.... You get the idea. I mentioned that getting a small Tattoo from each area, maybe on the shoulder might me an idea...... Well, I can't print what she said. So , needless to say. We got no tats....
Yes, I like that idea, especially Johngold's.
I thought it was a great idea........at the time...
Yep. Something with an anchor and the nautical compass...help keep my bearings...to magnetic north!
Why not ? I've gotten inked for dumber things.

Its good to hear that everyone is not grossed out by the sound of a tattoo. I personally don't want to be marked all up, but to have a little sparkly anchor somewhere. That would be nice.
Wow, a straight up NO!. That's fine, to each its own. We are a community here I love all of my fellow cruisers---no matter what the ship or destination...we become one with the sea.
I've been contemplating/designing one on my ribs, but more for my father who was in the navy, and my grandmothers flower is near the spot I'm looking at... but dual meaning I guess lol
