Do you go right to the lido deck when you get on?

This is probably my favorite thing to do once i get on the ship. Straight to the fun. Food and drinks, dont mind if i do. Hahah.

Anyone else do this?

We have been purchasing FTTF so we drop our bags in our room first and then explore the ship. We did go and get a Guys Burger first thing on our first cruise. And because my DH loved them so much, I am sure it will be the first thing we do on our next one.

Never been on a ship with a "Lido" deck. That seems to be particular to one company. Also leaving port in the winter from NYC the pool is not as inviting as touring and getting to know the rest of the ship ;)

I usually do after I get settled into my cabin, and of course, participate in the mandatory Lifeboat Drill.

Nope, don't want to spoil my dinner chowing down on junk from the buffet or near the pool deck, sure are a lot of folk do that though, immediately after boarding. Rather, I like to take a tour of the vessel, prior to doing that though maybe drink the glass of champagne they give me. After wife done with unpacking and hanging things up, then I stow the luggage under the bed, not easy sometimes. After that, I show her what I discovered, then comes muster drill, then sail-away which I enjoy while sipping wine on our balcony.

I get to the ships in time for lunch, so I first drop off my bags, wipe down parts of the cabin with Lysol wipes, unpack and then to the Lido for lunch (unless the MDR is open for a lunch seating)

That's what we do... almost exactly!

Great minds think alike Big Smile You pay for the first day, may as well get to the ship in time to have lunch and enjoy your first day.

I completely agree! We’ve always had Faster To The Fun, so we walk on, go directly to our room to drop off any carry on bags, then head up for lunch. We’ve always been onboard before noon, so we are ready for a deli sandwich or buffet.

I go to the room to see if it's ready. Then I head to the Lido deck for food!!!

Drop carry on bags in room. Go and get lunch. Go back to room after lunch and by than luggage has usually arrived. Wipe down room with Lysol wipes. Unpack clothes and get toiletries set up, usually while DH takes nap. Get suitcases under bed and make cabin your home for next 8 days. Already have drinks at hand so what else do you need than to go out on balcony and wait for 4 PM !!
