Do You Ever Bring a Hand Held Luggage Scale on a Cruise?

With all the concerns about over weighted bags on air planes, have you ever purchased a hand held luggage scale for vacations?  Do you bring it on cruises?

I use one at home, but I leave it there.  I try to give about a 5 or 7 lb cushion when packing. I can take stuff out at home. On the way home, I am at the mercy of their scales.

Having read about this when posting about being charged recently for an overweight bag, I did purchase one and intend to bring it!

It is something to think about.

Yes... it is also a flashlight.

Don't own one but will consider purchasing.

This is what we do as well!Happy

I do pack one when going on a long trip...... on the way back I try and put all the heavy stuff into a carry on so no extra charge.  For a 7 night cruise I can pack in a carry on case and my back back.   I travel light.

I think that it is smart to have a cushion as far as weight is concerned.  Wonder how accurate these scales are anyway?  I did buy them as gifts for my traveling family and we all use them.

I've thought about it, but never got one... I have been lucky I guess and never was over on weight.

Yes I use one and always take it with me. I always pack to 48lbs. It seems to be with in a pound of the airlines scales. Just one less thing to worry about getting to the airport. Worth every penny i paid for it.
