Disembarkment in Aruba
My husband and I will be on the Sunshine in October. We are in Aruba from 1pm to 10 pm. I've reserved an excursion on Aruba Trikes and reading some of the reviews I'm wondering if I should cancel. Reason being I've read where getting off the ship there is really slow. Our excursion starts at 1:30. Thank you for any advise you can give me.
I hate to say, but the ship will let people off first that have excursions booked through the cruise line. If your excursion is booked direct with the tour operator or not through the ship you will not be first off the ship.
Ship excursions are more expensive but you have the piece of mind that they will not leave without you and that if they run late the ship will not leave without you.
I also agree. Those with ship run shore excursions get off first.
Agree w/JusMe. Priority disembarkation goes to top tiered frequent cruisers for that given cruise line and those who have booked an excursion through the ship. Unless you can get the vendor to provide some sort of guarantee that they will wait for you, try pushing your start time to later. Failing those options, consider canceling.
I've contacted the company to see what they'll do. I really don't want to lose out on this one for my husband has been looking forward to it. This will be the last time we go to Aruba for awhile and I really wanted to make it special for him. Thank you for the help.
