Disembarkation time

I am cruising from 12th to 19th from Trieste. My disembarkation time as per schedule says 7:30am. Since I am planning to take a train to zermatt, the best option available is 9:38 direct train to Milan. My concern is whether I can get off the ship atleast by 9am?? Train station is just 500m away I guess.

Someone please guide. I am planning to carry bag myself instead of handing over to ship. I believe the former is the best way to get off quickly.

The topic of disembarkation was discussed recently in this thread, http://cruiseline.com/forum/post/does-anybody-tell-me-exact-disembark-time.

It is not possible to tell you for sure that your timetable will work because there are too many variables that can affect disembarkation. However, it usually goes smoothly and efficiently if people pay attention and heed the crew instructions. It is most important to get people off the ship efficiently and safely in order to prepare the ship for the next cruise.

If there is a pay-to-get-off first option, you probably want to take advantage of that to improve your chances.

Happy sails!
