Customer Service: Why It's Important

I got to thinking last night: We were on RCCL Voyager of the Seas back in 2005. It was terrible. Bad food (except for Portofinos),bad service,understocked stores, all around bad. when we got home I called to complain,because complaining on board did nothing. We never complain unless it's really warranted. CS didn't care. Blew me off,no sorry you had a bad experience, nothing... Well, since then, we have been on 8 cruises, and have brought at least one other couple on each cruise. All told, I estimate RCCL did not get about $75,000.00 from us and our friends. maybe not alot when you spread it out, but still. As cruisers we can choose to spend our dollars anywhere, so you think the companies would try to keep us happy. Carnival,Princess,Holland America,and Norwegian all have great CS. We have been on NCL 7 times,and on the rare occasion there is an issue,it is handled promptly. What are your experiences with customer service? are you loyal to one line?why?

We are loyal to Carnival and that is because of the great customer service that we receive from everyone at embarkation to the service staff every where on the ship. We take the time to learn about their life and their family. They work non stop for at least 6 months working 12-16 hour days with a vacation of at least 3 months if they are lucky. And they do this with a smile! That is why we are loyal, that is why we keep going back. Yes we do meet great fellow cruisers but the experience is more enjoyable because of the staff.
Do you post in the Carnival Forums over at their website? I like this site, but it's still growing. Not enough people posting frequently enough. One person seems to dominate this site, but, like I said, it's growing so spread the word. CC is a terrible site. It's more of a cruise complaint dept. NCL also has great CS. HAL & Princess are amazing too.
I have not looked to see if there is a way to post on the Carnival website. I spread the word on here and I just got an app for my Android which works better than the app for my iPhone...strange...we usually receive a survey to fill out and send back. I used to post on Facebook but I am not on there anymore so I do it where I can.
