The best part about this site are the people.  There is a ton of knowledge here, and even the so called veterans can learn things.

I do wish some of the rules weren’t so rigid. Give us some leeway.   It’s impossible to only talk about cruising. We develop relationships ( kind of ).   We meet up on cruises, layovers, whatever.......some of us are used to posting elsewhere without too much oversight, unless absolutely necessary.  As long as no one is deliberately nasty or offensive, or providing misinformation ( I mean real misinformation, not the obvious joke threads I post ) leave us alone.   The forum can run itself, for the most part.

Oh, we need a way to contact each other via e mail.  In our profiles, there should be code permitting e mails from other users.

Happy Birthday, Simon and Team!

The best part of the site is the sense of family within the forum. Although we tend to bicker at times (what family doesn't) we are still a close community.

Other parts of the site worth noting is the many areas you can find information including port reviews, ship reviews, cruise reviews, roll calls, shore excursions and cruise prices, as well as informative articles. I'm sure I missed some things, but this is really a great, all-inclusive site.

Congratulations on a job well done!!

You think bickering goes on here, this is nothing.   Funville, now THAT, was bickering.

If we bicker too much here, Papa Simon kicks our @$$ and gets us back in line!Big Smile

Happy Anniversary Cruiseline!

I love the forum here as it is the most friendly group. There is not the nastiness here that exists on other sites. The research is good, I like the ability to look at excursions separately from the cruise line.

Thanks for the site, Simon and team :)

I love Cruiseline.  It has a family feel and I enjoy that.  I like some good-natured ribbing and fun, but nastiness sucks all the fun out of a forum.  I don't like FB (too much drama for my taste, plus it's a lot of work to keep up with), so this is my social media fix.

I also enjoy that folks here sail on a lot of different cruiselines.  If you have a question, somebody here likely knows the answer or knows how to tell you to find it.

Other than the forum here I spend a lot of time browsing through the reviews for different ships in different cruise lines.  Quick and easy to find things on this website.  It’s laid out nicely.

Happy 5 years,  here is to 50 more. Big Smile    I am amazed that we are so well behaved for the most part.  For the 3.5 years I have been on I can only really think of one member that was a major issue.   It is like a family,  as a family we put the "FUN" back in dysfunctional.

I mostly watch the Forum and look over reviews for day to day use.    When booking a cruise I will look up ports,  ships deck plans and cruise prices.   I will use the app to see peoples suggestions on what to do in ports and for non ship excursions.

I’m a Captain issue, not a Major.

I can can however be a major pita.

Happy 5th Birthday!

I love this forum because it is so friendly and I get to learn more about different cruiselines, not just one.

One suggestion that I have and would like to see, is the ability to post our email in our profile in case we would like to contact another member to ask for more details, make arrangements to meet up in a port city etc.
